Grief

Grief is something which affects us all in so many different ways. It is something that we all go through in life.

For some of us we show an outpouring of grief and it tears us apart from the inside, for others grief is something which we keep hidden and do not let others see and we will continue as though nothing has happened (this is most definitely how I grieve).

It does not matter how we grieve as it is deeply personal and there is no right or wrong way to do this. I do feel however that with the passing of Queen Elizabeth the second that there just be nothing worse than grieving and doing it in such a public manner.

While grief is difficult it is also important to celebrate the lives of those we have lost if we are able to. I know not everybody has happy memories of people and this can be difficult. It is also important to remember we do not just grieve in death we may also grieve a relationships that have broken down and the things that we have lost over the years.

I for one have definitely grieved over lost opportunities and think about how different my life may have been if I had taken up those opportunities. I also know if I had taken up those opportunities I would not be in the job I am now doing what I love and being supported to further myself in a way that I never thought I could.

So remember if you have a loved one hold them close if you feel you do not have a loved one remember you are loved by so many.
