Even though things are tough at the moment, not just for me but for so many people. Whether you are trying to work from home and homeschool your children (only one more week to go) or this pandemic has taken its toll on you and you just want to go back to some sort of normality. One thing is clear we are all working towards our own goals be or having some sort of normality again or just having those precious few hours to yourself.
At the moment I am working towards what feels like about a thousand goals but in reality it is just four. My two biggest goals are to complete my degree- this is a lovely long term goal (which is getting closer with each and every day) and to save to move out (again this is still in baby steps as I know I want my own space and even though so many people tell me flat sharing is a great idea I just want a space to call my own). My two other smaller steps are to manage my mental health better- this is definitely something I am doing better at especially now I know I have a brilliant support system and the other goal is still to do with saving money but it’s for furniture and the things I will need when I do move out, I’ve put my name down on the social housing registers and it’s now a waiting game.
Still, it is so important to have goals in life. These are what keep us going and remind us of a reason to get out of bed each day. So for now I take each day as it comes and remind myself of what my focusses are. With my degree I hope to be able to study two moulded next year and still work full time (mad I know) but I often get reminded that if I put my mind to it I can do anything.
As always stay safe and look after each other
