When life gives you lemons….. also known as trying to keep sane.

So obviously the past few posts have been quite negative and this made me realise that actually I’m not a negative person so, I thought I’d share the things I do when it all gets a little too much.

A bit of colouring. I love colouring and will spend hours with a colouring book. I don’t know if it’s because there’s s bit of focus to it so I get to zone out. I am fussy about which colouring books I have though, seasonal colouring books are always the best.

Keep a good sense of humour. My weird sense of humour definitely keeps me going. I’m sure people think I’m insane at times but if you don’t laugh you will cry. Importantly find someone with a sense of humour as strange as your own. It will help if someone laughs at the same stuff as you.

Embrace your inner queen Elsa. “Don’t let them in don’t let them see” followed by “conceal don’t feel” often help when trying to drown out what is around.

A drink or two or three. While I do know drinking can make things worse. There is nothing better than Friday night drinks in the pub with the best company around, they definitely help you to forget your worries. Helped especially more when we all take the piss out of each other.

Keep learning. Learning is so very important throughout life and to be able to study for a degree as I am older means I can relate a lot of analysis to experience. I love to be able to discover more and build on any existing knowledge I have and also to share my knowledge at times.

So there you have it even though life can be rubbish at times if you just dwell on that it will only wear you down. Be kind, smile and find people who want you to be happy.
